Can a listing broker quote a different price per month over the phone versus what is on HAR? Specifically my client called a listing agent and was told the actual rent is $50 more a month than the HAR monthly lease notation.

No. The lease price listed on HAR must be honored even if the agent made a mistake when they input the wrong price. If there are additional costs involved (pet rent, pest control, renter\'s insurance, etc) it should be detailed in the listing under \"other mandatory fee\". It is possible the agent was including additional costs when they spoke to your client or accidentally quoted the wrong price (it happens if they have multiple listings). It would be odd for an agent to purposefully quote a higher rental price. I hope this helps. -- Allison
